| I'd like to find a partner for this! Someone who can drive, putt, and make nice approach shots would be awesome, since I can't seem to do any of those things right lately. |

My artist has made some changes to the logo. You can go to SCdoubles.com and view his new logo. It is in color, where the other was only one color and he added the names of the host cities.
Looking for some feed back. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |

|
|
With the money we've raised from sponsors so far and the money we hope (expect) to raise in the next week, we are making the event a B tier event.
I talked with the PDGA yesterday and we are good to go with it being a B tier event. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |

You can put TEAM Over The Top down as a sponsor of $50 in merch and $50 in cash. I will email you a logo that I would like used for tee signs in a .jpg format
Look forward to helping your first Dubs tourney out! |

Online registration for the State Doubles Championship should be available soon on the PDGA website. The form and the money has been sent.
We've already have several teams sign up and the field is limited to 36 teams/72 players. We expect a full field. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |

|

Best Shot
Best Shot is by far the most popular doubles format. Both players throw from each lie (starting with the tee shot), then the team chooses which of the resulting lies to continue play from, until the hole is completed.
A lie that is picked up without being marked is gone forever; the team must throw from the other lie. If the second lie is picked up, it must be replaced in accordance with PDGA rules. All lies must be marked according to PDGA rules.
If the first player throws from the wrong lie, the second player may still throw from the correct lie.
In case of injury or disqualification, one partner may play alone, throwing one shot at each lie (essentially playing singles).
Best Disc (Best Score)
In Best Disc (also known as Best Score), each player plays the hole as they would while playing singles; there are no shared lies. The team score is the best score on the hole by one of its players.
Alternate Shot
In Alternate Shot, only one sequence of throws is made on each hole. The team selects a player to throw the tee shot at the beginning of the round. The other player then throws from the subsequent lie, and play alternates in that fashion until the round is completed. Alternate Shot is closer to a singles format, where one partner can't bail the other out. If you miss a short putt, chances are good that you'll be driving the next hole.
If the wrong player on a team throws, another team must call it immediately, like a foot fault. The team receives a warning, and the correct player throws. Subsequent violations incur a one-throw penalty.
For any violation that requires a rethrow (stance violation, provisional throw), the same player throws.
That's in accordance with the PDGA rules for Doubles Tournaments. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |

|
|
When deciding to do this tournament, I thought it best to start and finish with what should result in the best possible scoring per round. With Best Shot being what most of us are used to playing, that makes the doubles more fun and scores lower.
The Best Disc is to challenge both players individually. If your partner chucks one deep into the woods or out of bounds, the pressure is now on you to complete the hole withopefully doing no worse than your partner.
In alternate shot whomever is teeing off or putting will feel the pressure of their partner. You don't want to chuck it deep into the woods and give your partner a horrible lie.
I think the formats for the State Doubles will test each team's ability. We will truly know whom the best Doubles Team in the state is. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |

| Since the scores would be compilation of two player's throws, you could not get accurate ratings. |

|

My understanding from the PDGA is there will be points earned due to it being a PDGA event. The formula is a bit different being it is a doubles. I'll get the information on who things will be handled and post them on SCdoubles.com in the next couple of days. _________________ For information on the South Carolina Doubles Championship go to www.SCdoubles.com |
