Hub City Disc Golf Club presents 1st Annual Ice Bowl at Va Du Mar Park (Boiling Springs, SC) on February 7th, benefiting American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Congratulations to Local Pro, Sara Stanhope, for her 9th place finish in the Open Division at PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships at Kalamazoo, MI Aug 11-16, 2008. Dave Chansler placed 35th and Calvin Small placed 47th out of over 272 Amateur Advanced men in the PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships. Bill Ball and Jerry Chansler represented well in the Senior Grandmaster Division finishing 6th and 7th respectively. Great showing for the Upstate!

South Carolina Championship Open (USDGC qualifier) . South Carolina Disc Golfers will have a chance to qualify for the most prestigious disc golf tournament in the world. The Upstate Disc Golf Club and DISConcepts are proud to announce the qualifying event for the USDGC will be held at a new temporary tournament course in Greenville County at Lakeside Park. The South Carolina Championship Open (SCCO) will be a one day event held on September 8th 2007 in Greenville South Carolina and will play host to the SC state representative spot for the United States Disc Golf Championship held in Rock Hill South Carolina in early October.
